Prof. Dr. Metin Toprak

He completed his undergraduate, master's, and PhD studies in the Department of Economics at Istanbul University. He has held faculty and administrative positions at various universities and served as a visiting researcher at Georgetown University. Having served as Vice Chairman of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) and of the Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM), as well as Deputy Chairman of the Competition Authority, Toprak currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, and as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT). He conducts research on financial systems, economic development, social policy, and higher education reform.
